What are these called?

it's a dessert-cookie-elephant ear-like product, about an inch tall, powder sugar on them, and if you look at them from above, they look like a flower or star shape with rounded corners, not pointed...they are crisp, light, and break/crunch when you bite them, BUT they are not pizzelles. You use a wand like molder, dipped into batter, set into heated oil, and they fry...I am looking for the name and recipe, please. I am also looking for a really GOOD pizzelle recipe, I cant find a decent one.

Reply:recipe I can't help with, but I think you are talking about rosette cookies.My mom made them around the holidays.
