it looks like it would be a tropical plant it is 5 ft high and the leaves are huge there are about 8 or 9 leaves on it and the stem resembles more a small tree the leaves as they sprout out are rolled and have a reddish tent to them until they unfold then are green and each leave is approx. 12-13 in long and about 10-12 in wide, it is planted in a 50-gal. garbage can i have taken pics to local florist and she has never seen one like it she sadi it looks tropical and i live in way northern mn, so it gets way to cold to transplant it outside the leaves resemble "elephant ears" any help would be better than i have now lol thanks

Could you possible include a link to a picture of your plant..then we can help you. Or take a leaf to your local plant store and ask them what type of plant you have..Sorry I can't help you.
