Please help me identify my houseplant!!!?

I got it from my grandmother's funeral and the floral card said it was a neptitus plant but I can't find any information on it. It looks similar to an elephant ear but I don't really know that much about plants. Please click on the link and help me. Thanks!

Please help me identify my houseplant!!!?
I'm sorry about the loss of your grandmother.

Your plant is a Nephthytis podophyllum, also sometimes classified as Syngonium podophyllum. It needs bright filtered light. The most important part of caring for it is not to overwater it. Let the soil dry between waterings. Eventually you will need to feed it with general purpose houseplant food, and when you repot it, use a good quality potting soil and a slightly larger pot.
Reply:Don't know the scientific name, but what you have is an arrowhead plant, a very nice one I might add, they like to be root bound to some extent and love sun, not too much sun or the leaves will burn!
Reply:Hi, i suggest a great site with plenty of Issues related to your home and garden and everything around it. it also provide clear and accurate answer to many common questions.

Reply:You got a good plant, one that has been popular as a house plant for over 50 years. Common name is an arrowhead plant. Grows in medium to bright light, brighter light will cause it to grow more vigorous. Hard to kill, easy to propogate. Some varieties will vine if given something to climb on. If it gets leggy, just trim off some of the shoots. Regular care with water and fertilizer.
Reply:It is definately a Syngonium podophyllum. They are a common indoor plant and can be acclimatised to full sun outdoors.

They are very hardy handly wet situations and can also handle drying out too.

The white in the leaves is the juvinile colouration which it will keep if kept in a pot. If you plant it in the ground it will grow vine like and the leaves will change shape and turn green.

it is an easy plant to grow, fertilise every now and again and make sure it gets some light if you keep it inside. people often stick the stems in bottles of water and grow them on their kitchen windows - will grow from cuttings very easily.

Nephthytis changed to Syngonium a few years back
Reply:neptitus, the leaves shape is like an arrow .also known as an arrow head, likes a good drink once a week.just seen it is definitely;an arrow head, neptitus.
Reply:It kind of looks like Pothos, but I am not sure. Try contacting a university extension office where they have a Horticulture department. THey have extension programs for the public. You can send the picture or call and they will help you out.
