How do you use an electric dough roller?

I just bought one on eBay--it's a single pass. I've never used one before. How do you make sure the dough doesn't stick to the rollers? How do you make sure it comes out nice (not all torn up, just semi-circle--rough around the edges is fine).

Are they safe? What kind of daily maintenance do they require?

By the way, I make fried dough (elephant ears).

How do you use an electric dough roller?
I'm not sure this helps, but;

When working in a local pizza restaurant, we used a roller for the thin crust, but we put it through twice (to get a more circular shape). To reduce it sticking, you use flour. Just set the dough in the flour, then flip it (to coat both sides), then run it through the rollers.

As far as maintenance, you need to keep debris from building up on the rollers or belt (depending on your model). If you can remove the parts, that increases the effectiveness of the cleaning.
Reply:Awesome! Fried dough ROCKS!

Have you ever tried Indian fry bread? It is delicious...worth a trip to the Indian Festival twice a year just for the fry bread or Indian tacos.

Good luck...let the good dough roll....
