Have you ever ridden an elephant?

I took an elephant ride today. It was very relaxing and soothing. It felt so good, i almost fell asleep as the slow moving elephant seemed to be in great harmony himself. It felt as if i was riding on bubbles and cushion-filled air. The creature was very friendly and sweet. It shook its ears in joy all the way through. I just felt he kept going and going, lol.

Have you ever experienced an elephant ride?

Have you ever ridden an elephant?
Yes, it was at a circus and I was pretty young. I was at the very back of it and I was terrified. I'm terrified of heights so that was kind of traumtizing. Kind of cool now, but at the time it wasn't.
Reply:Yeah, at the zoo. I actually work there now. But yes, the ride was very soothing and relaxing... I haven't had a ride in a long time. I just might take another one now. =))
Reply:Yeah, when i was younger. I also rode a camel too.
Reply:Last time I took a trip like this it was in a dream. As any cosmic dream, the real thing is always the best. It's nice to here about someone doing the real thing. The bubbles and cushion-filled air I have enjoyed where not on an elephant. Or maybe they were. I'm not sure I have to talk to someone. Of course, nothing is the same after you take any ride. Hope future travels bring like feelings.
Reply:No. I have ridden a camel and a horse though.
Reply:yup at the circus when i was like 9. also rode a camel %26amp; a horse that day...SO MUCH FUN
Reply:Yes, I've ridden elephants, camels (both bacterian %26amp; dromidary), horses (ponies to one ton draft horses), a yak (not comfortable to ride), a zebra, %26amp; a llama when I was a child.

For me, a well trained horses is still the best, most comfortable, and engaging animal to ride.

Elephants still have their charms though. They seem so very wise. Slow steady movement, no rush to get "there".

To me, riding a horse is like riding a reed being blown and rippled by the wind...very exciting.

Riding an elephant is like riding an oak tree...slight movement, great wisdom, and all the time in the world.
