Where we can find the elephant-ear plant?and why are they endangered?
As far as I know it's not endangered. Elephant ear refers to a variety of plants, such as the Taro, and plants belonging to the Caladium and Xanthosoma genuses. The Taro, belonging to the Colocasia genus, is common in the US.

Even though it's technically a tropical plant, it can be grown in the cold. It is used in food in many cultures, and always cooked since it is toxic if you serve it raw.
